The people we serve walk a difficult path and need to know
that they do not have to face it alone.
We provide the following services:
Brighter Day Foundation bridges a gap in care for individuals in our community. Many low-income people need transportation yet can’t afford expensive transport like medical transit services, taxis and buses. Tasks like pushing a grocery cart, unloading groceries, and other similar day-to-day tasks can sometimes feel overwhelming to those with disabilities, the elderly or those who don’t have family to help them. However, our services are different from some of the options available in the community. Our warm and friendly volunteers offer continuity of care, which enables us to build relationships with the people we serve. It is not just about the ride to a doctor’s office for a person with a disability, or helping an elderly widow with her grocery shopping. Our caring and dedicated volunteers seek to treat people with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Brighter Day Foundation assists those with financial needs, on a case-by-case basis, when funds are available.
Brighter Day Foundation provides services, free-of-charge. We are solely supported through generous charitable contributions from individuals, churches, businesses and organizations in our community! Occasionally urgent and crisis care needs arise—sometimes our individuals have to choose between buying groceries or paying for a prescription; paying the gas bill to stay warm or paying medical co-pays. We carefully assess their needs, and may offer assistance in those times when unexpected financial concerns arise.
